DAVIS, Calif. - With both basketball teams in first place entering the final games of the season, Good Day Sacramento's Julissa Ortiz will visit campus Friday morning to speak with student-athletes from both teams, head women's basketball coach Jennifer Gross and head men's basketball coach Jim Les during the show's 9 a.m. hour.

Ortiz will highlight Saturday's basketball doubleheader, which includes the women's 2 p.m. Senior Day game vs. UC Santa Barbara, the men's ESPNU nationally televised 5 p.m. matchup against Long Beach State, and discuss their team's upcoming Big West Tournament appearances.

With each team currently in first place, the Aggies are in a unique position: if each team wins out, they will not only collect a league championship and enter the Big West's postseason tournament as the No. 1 seed, but also guarantee a postseason appearnce by securing the conference's automatic bid to the NIT and WNIT. If each team wins its respective league tournament, UC Davis will compete in the NCAA Tournament instead.

After Saturday's 2 p.m. home game vs. the Gauchos, the women will end their season at UC Riverside (March 2, 7 p.m.) and at CSUN (March 4, 2 p.m.); the men will host Hawai'i in its Senior Day game on Thursday before ending the season at UC Irvine two days later.
