DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis, victorious in 10 of its last 12 games, and Long Beach State will square off in the first of two league matchups, in as many weeks, when ESPN3 broadcasts the Aggies' road contest from the Walter Pyramid. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

Calling Thursday's game on ESPN3 are Scott Marsh (PBP), Richie Schueler (analyst) and Sanaz Tavassol (sideline).

Sweeps were collected the last two seasons; after the Aggies took both games against Long Beach during their 2014-15 Big West championship season, the 49ers responded last season with two wins. Whichever team leaves the Walter Pyramid with a victory will not need to wait long for this year's return game since Long Beach State will head to Davis for next Saturday's nationally televised ESPNU broadcast from the Pavilion.

Thursday's game will feature two of the league's top players, both junior forwards: UC Davis' Chima Moneke and Long Beach State's Roschon Prince. In addition to leading the league with nine double-doubles, Moneke holds top individual numbers in another seven categories: rebounds per game (8.7), field goals made (137), free throws made (107), defensive rebounds (161), total rebounds (217), blocked shots (30) and blocks per game (1.2). During conference play, Prince is averaging 14.8 points and a league-high 10.2 rpg.

Both UC Davis and Long Beach State are tough teams to face at home; the Aggies are the league's only team with an undefeated 8-0 record, but the 49ers are not too far behind having won all but one of their nine games in Long Beach.
