Game Notes

Promotions: Saturday is Multi-Cultural Night; in addition to free t-shirts for the first 1,000 fans, a Parade of Nations will take place approximately 30 minutes before the men's game tips-off.

Due to an expected sellout crowd for UC Davis' ESPNU game on Feb. 25, the Kids Zone will make its final appearance of the season this Saturday.

UC Davis Athletics will partner with ASUCD to collect food for The Pantry, a student-run on-campus service that provides food or personal items to any enrolled UC Davis student. The Pantry operates almost entirely on donations and community support; feel free to donate as many canned food or non-perishable items as you like.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Commitee asks that fans participate in its Big West Coin Drive at Saturday's game. All proceeds will benefit Cal Aggie Camp, a non-profit summer camp ran by ASUCD for foster children in the Greater Sacramento area. Click here for additional information about Cal Aggie Camp.

DAVIS, Calif. - First place UC Davis' undefeated home record is on the line when UC Riverside visits the Pavilion in Saturday's 5 p.m. matchup. With a win, the Aggies will push their perfect home record to 8-0, maintain their current position atop the Big West Conference standings, earn a sweep of this week's games, break a 32-32 tie in the all-time series against the Highlanders and collect their seventh win against UCR in the last 10 games.

What started with Wednesday's nine-point victory versus Cal State Fullerton will continue this weekend: The only Big West team with an undefeated record on its home floor will play 5 of 7 games on Hamilton Court before ending the regular season at UC Irvine on March 4.

After the Aggies host the Highlanders, they will head to Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton next Thursday and Saturday, games that ESPN3 and FOX Prime Ticket will televise across the nation, before opening a season-long three-game homestand on Feb. 23.

As has been the case with every opponent this season, UC Riverside has not fared well in its visits to Davis. Since the Aggies joined the Big West Conference prior to the start of the 2007-08 season, they have won 7 of 9 head-to-head meetings on their own floor.

UC Davis will enter the weekend riding a wave of momentum having won five of their last six conference games. Following its four-game win streak, UC Riverside dropped three of its following four games; the most recent result took place on Thursday when the Highlanders fell to Long Beach State at home by seven.
