DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis has enjoyed a successful start to the 2017-18 campaign, something it would like to continue throughout its season-opening five-game road swing when the Aggies visit Utah Valley for Saturday's 2 p.m. (PT) matinée matchup.
Basketball fans can listen to Greg Wong's call from the UCCU Center in Orem, Utah, on KSAC 105.5 FM, TuneIn internet radio or through TuneIn's app by searching the phrase "UC Davis Sports Network." A link for an online video stream is available at UCDavisAggies.com.
This weekend's contest marks the fourth in as many seasons between the Aggies and Wolverines. In all three previous occasions - including its last visit to Orem on Nov. 28, 2015 - UC Davis recorded a victory. A similar result will bump the all-time series in the Aggies' favor by a 4-2 margin, and improve the team's record to 3-0 entering Tuesday's Causeway Cup game at the Golden 1 Center.
As is the case with the Aggies, the Wolverines opened their season on the road, a trip that included stops at Duke, Kentucky and Idaho State.
UVU will enter a home-heavy portion of its schedule off an 84-71 win in Pocatello, Idaho, has won its last six home openers - a streak the Aggies will look to snap this weekend.
After opening its season at Northern Colorado on Monday, UC Davis experienced a quick turnaround before returning to the hardwood on Wednesday. When they return to Davis on Saturday after competing in the third game within a six-day timespan, the Aggies will remain local for its next game, which includes a trip to the state-of-the-art home of the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday, before ending their current road swing at Washington on Nov. 26.
UC Davis' home opener will take place three days later against Northern Colorado.
