DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis staff and coaches took to the streets of downtown Davis and to the halls and buildings of campus on Wednesday afternoon, thanking businesses and friends for their support of the Aggies while encouraging everyone to be part of the excitement in 2016-17.

The first annual "Pound the Pavement" sent more than 60 members of the UC Davis Athletics Department into the local area with team posters, ticket offers, t-shirts and other swag to meet community members and talk about everything Aggies.

So, if you see a few more Aggie posters in the windows downtown, or a little more blue and gold across campus, thank UC Davis Athletics. The Aggies value their supporters and wanted to return that appreciation.
