July 27, 2016 SKILLMAN, N.J. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association honored UC Davis women's tennis when Alex Huie, Kamila Kecki, Tiffany Pham and Frederique Sleiffer earned Scholar Athlete accolades from the organization. By posting one of the highest team GPAs among all Division I programs, the Aggies were among a select group of programs to earn All-Academic Team distinction (for the fourth straight season).
With its announcement, Pham has now earned Scholar Athlete awards from the governing body of college tennis in all four of her years on campus. As is the case with her teammate, Sleiffer was recognized in every one of her three years with the program before graduating this past spring.
Huie and Kecki collected their first individual academic award from the ITA this year.
Team awards are presented to programs that possess a cumulate GPA of 3.20 or above with all eligible student-athletes responsible for competing in one or more varsity matches for the current academic year.
To earn ITA scholar-athlete status, a player must receive a varsity letter, possess a 3.50 minimum grade point average (GPA) for the academic year and enrolled at their current school for at least two semesters or three quarters.
