Scoring and live results

LAHAINA, Hawaii. - Paige Lee shot a 5-over 77 on Monday and is in second place at the Big West Championships for the six-time defending champion UC Davis women's golf team, which remains within striking distance heading into Tuesday's final round at The Bay Course.

UC Davis posted a 28-over 316 team score during Monday's second round and is 48 over through 36 holes. The Aggies trail fourth-place Hawai'i by one shot and top-seeded Long Beach State, which is third, by two shots. Cal Poly (+39) held onto the lead and is up three strokes over UC Riverside (+42).

Lee, who was the individual leader after shooting 72 in Sunday's first round, is 5 over and just two shots behind 49th-ranked Kassidy Teare of Long Beach State who is 3 over.

Senior Andrea Wong carded a 76 and is tied for sixth at 9 over, Betty Chen had an 81 and is tied for 16th at 13 over, and Daniela Anastasi is tied for 30th at 21 over after finishing with an 82. Alexandra Zeng shot 84 and is tied for 38th at 27 over.

"Today was a tough day. We didn't start particularly well and we didn't finish particularly well," said head coach Anna Temple. "That being said, Paige had a very solid round in these conditions and Andrea put herself in good position to score. We know what we need to do in the final round and we are excited to get out there and put a good round together from start to finish."

Lee opened Monday's round with a bogey and was 2 over after three holes but then had eight consecutive pars to steady her round. A birdie on the par-5 15th highlighted her 3-over back nine. Wong put together eight pars in a row of her own midway through her second round and had a late birdie to help her shoot the team's best score of the day.

Chen was just 3 over after nine holes, picking up a birdie on the par-3 eighth, and Anastasi and Zeng each birdied the 15th to help their rounds.

UC Davis will try to make a run for its seventh straight title when it tees off beginning at 11:15 a.m. (Pacific) on Tuesday in the final round.
