NEW ORLEANS, La.
- Two birdies, 14 pars and just two bogeys resulted in an even round of 72 for senior Andrea Wong on Tuesday, leading her to a top-25 showing at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate for the UC Davis women's golf team which finished 17th.

UC Davis shot 17-over 305 in the final round and was 49 over for the week. Wong led the Aggies with her tie for 21st place at 3 over. Senior Betty Chen and freshman Sam Hutchison each carded rounds of 77 and tied for 60th (+3) and 69th (+15), respectively, while freshman Daniela Anastasi had a 79 and was 22 over overall. Redshirt freshman Alexandra Zeng finished with an 82 and was 34 over for the 54-hole tournament.

Eleventh-ranked Florida finished 2 under for a one-shot win over No. 13 Oklahoma State. The two teams were the only ones to break par at the challenging 6,239-yard English Turn Golf & Country Club. Seventh-ranked Alabama was third at 4 over, No. 12 Arizona took fourth at 6 over and No. 37 Texas was 15 over to place fifth. In all, 11 teams ranked in Golfstat's top 50 competed in the event.

Wong, who played 2-under golf over the final two rounds after opening with a 77, had a birdie and 11 pars on her first 12 holes, had bogey on the Par-4 10th to get back to even and then played par golf the rest of the way to post her second-best score of the tournament. Chen also started her round well with a birdie and 10 pars over her first 11 holes before bogeys down the stretch brought her in with a 77.

Like Chen, Hutchison covered the front nine of the golf course with par golf during her 77 while Anastasi had two birdies in her round overall and was just 3 over on the front. Zeng strung together five straight pars on the front and four in five holes on the back.

LSU's Sydney Cavin shot a 3-under 69 to tie Sarah Burnham of Michigan State for medalist honors at 5 under.

The Aggies are off until playing in the Bay Area Classic at the University of San Francisco on Mar. 7-8.
