DAVIS, Calif. - After a busy week that included four games within a six-day timespan, one week will pass between UC Davis' last appearance, which took place on Nov. 26 in the team's finale at the GCI Great Alaska Shootout, and Saturday's game at Idaho. This is the fifth of seven straight games for the Aggies that will take place outside of Davis, and their last one before a week-long hiatus begins due to finals.
Before UC Davis returns to Hamilton Court for its next home contest on Dec. 17, it will head to Cal and North Dakota State -- three games that will take place within a seven-day timespan starting with an I-80 showdown, at Haas Pavilion, on Dec. 10.
Idaho is the last of four Big Sky teams on the Aggies' non-conference schedule; UC Davis topped Northern Arizona and Sacramento State earlier this season before falling to defending league champ Weber State in its opening game at last week's Shootout.
After opening the season with victories in two of their first three games, the Vandals enter Saturday's matchup with losses in two of the following three games. An overtime victory vs. South Dakota State was earned on Nov. 21 by Idaho before it suffered back-to-back losses at Sam Houston State, and at home to San José State this past week.
Both teams will face a road-heavy schedule once Saturday's game concludes. Three of Idaho's next four matchups, and four of UC Davis' upcoming six games will take place on the road before each team's respective league opener.
