DAVIS, Calif. - After an impressive season-opening weekend that included wins in two of three games played at the Cable Car Classic, UC Davis will host its first home game of the season when Holy Names visits the Pavilion Thursday night. Tipoff will take place at 7 p.m.

This week's home opener is the first opportunity for Aggie fans to witness an offense that averaged 72.0 points per game and shot .446 overall last weekend. In those three games, UC Davis' defense forced its opponents to shoot .402 overall, .263 from three (compared to the Aggies' .403 3-pt. percentage) and commit a collective 45 turnovers.

UC Davis will look to capture its third straight victory in the first of two local games scheduled within a four-day timespan. Once the Hawks head back to Oakland, the Aggies will begin prepping for Monday's game at the Golden 1 Center vs. Sacramento State -- the first college basketball game taking place inside the Sacramento Kings' new state-of-the-art downtown home.
