DAVIS, Calif. - Even though the two schools are just separated by 100 miles, UC Davis and Santa Clara will square off for the first time since Dec. 6, 1986, when they meet inside the Leavey Center Saturday night at the Cable Car Classic. Doug Greenwald will call the action courtside for KSAC (105.5 FM) and an internet broadcast on UCDavisAggies.com. In addition to providing live stats, Santa Clara will live stream this 6 p.m. matchup online at TheW.TV.

Afterwards, the Aggies will experience a quick turnaround since their tournament finale, vs. Northern Arizona, will tip on Sunday at 12 p.m.

After falling to Tennessee State in the final minutes of Friday night's season opener, UC Davis will seek its first victory of the year against a Bronco squad that opened the Herb Sendek era with a three-point victory over NAU.

Junior forward Jarvis Pugh finished one rebound shy of a double-double against the Lumberjacks and led his team in scoring with 20 points.
