MORAGA, Calif. - A combination of Samantha Martino's singles victory over Stanford's Elizabeth Yao in B Flight Round of 16 action, Kristina Breisacher and Isabella von Ebbe advancing to Sunday's B Flight championship match comprised UC Davis' highlights during the second day of action at the Saint Mary's Fall Invitational.

By defeating Yao in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, Martino advanced to her flight's quarterfinals. Unfortunately, No. 4-seeded Andie Mouzes (Sacramento State) ended the senior Aggie's run in Moraga.

Breisacher and von Ebbe needed little time to claim a spot in tomorrow's championship when Tamara Culibrk and Diane Flament (San José State) withdrew from that doubles contest. The Aggie duo was leading 2-1 when the result of their match became official.

The pair will square off against Santa Clara's Zeina El Tawil - Caitlyn Frankel at 9 a.m. Sunday morning for the B Flight doubles title.

Even though she dropped her Round of 16 matchup, Kamila Kecki competed in the match of the day when she faced Cal Poly's Claire Bouquet. After winning the first set, 6-3, Kecki fell 7-4 in a second-set tiebreaker. In this thrilling back-and-forth battle, another tiebreaker was needed in the third frame to decide a winner.

In that decisive tiebreak, it was Kecki who was narrowly edged by Bouquet, 9-7.
