BERKELEY, Calif. - Led by Kristina Breisacher's upset of No. 1-seeded Vanessa Nommenson in the White Flight championship match, UC Davis women's tennis won three championships during the final day of action at the Cal Nike Fall Invitational.

The day started on a positive note for the Aggies when Isabella von Ebbe and Breisacher edged out teammate Samantha Martino and her doubles partner, Cal Poly's Susanne Boyden, 8-6, to win the White Flight doubles crown.

Shortly thereafter, Breisacher returned to action when she faced Saint Mary's Nommenson in the White Flight main draw's championship match. Even though the Aggie newcomer fell in the first set, 6-2, she stormed back in the following frame and rebounded with a 6-1 set victory to even things up at one apiece.

In the decisive third set, Breisacher edged her opponent and won by a single service break, posted a 7-5 set score, and earned her second singles victory over a ranked opponent in as many days.

Saturday afternoon saw the Rancho Santa Margarita native top second-seeded Carlij Ketting (Nevada) in three sets, in come-from-behind fashion as well.

An outstanding day for women's tennis continued when Kamila Kecki won her White Flight consolation singles matchup in straight sets against Sacramento State's Carolina Chernyetski. By posting a 6-4, 6-2 score, she earned her team's final title in Berkeley.

After a strong showing at the Battle in the Bay Classic and Cal Nike Fall Invitational, the Aggies will have the next week to prep for their next tournament, the Saint Mary's Fall Invitational. Action from Moraga will begin on Friday, Oct. 7, and continue throughout the weekend.
