DAVIS, Calif. - The Art of Athletes, an outstanding exhibition of art by talented UC Davis student-athletes, will enjoy its seventh annual run beginning Friday and continuing Monday through Friday next week at the Walter A. Buehler Alumni Center on campus.

Fifteen student-athletes representing 12 majors, 11 teams and three undergraduate colleges are participating in the exhibition which features nearly 30 pieces. There is no admission to the event and parking is available in the nearby Mondavi Center structure.

An informal reception and opportunity to meet the artists will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday. The Art of Athletes will resume on Monday, Feb. 1 and continue everyday through Fri., Feb. 5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This year's event is being coordinated by field hockey sophomore student-athlete Nica Taglieri.

The Art of Athletes has been a highlighted event each year, showcasing the non-athletic talents of UC Davis student-athletes. Past exhibits have featured paintings, sculptures, photography and other impressive works of art.
