SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- Senior Alyson Doherty finished with a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead three Aggies in double figures and help lift visiting UC Davis to a 75-57 Big West Conference victory over Cal Poly on Saturday evening at the Mott Athletics Center in San Luis Obispo, Calif.

The Aggies (11-7, 4-1) won for the fifth time in their last six games, closing out the road trip with their second win in their last three trips to San Luis Obispo. The Mustangs, who had won six straight at home entering the night, fell to 10-8 overall and 3-2 in conference play.

Doherty's double-double was her fifth of the season, but her first since a 19-point, 10-rebound effort against Cal State Monterey Bay at home on Dec. 6. Gianotti hit 5-of-9 from the field en route to her team-high total, draining five three-pointers, while Kourtney Eaton came off the bench to finish with 10 points and three assists in 12 minutes.

Senior Celia Marfone added nine rebounds to help UC Davis out-rebound Cal Poly, 42-35, for the game, helping the Aggies to an advantage on the boards for the fourth consecutive game.

Beth Balbierz finished with a game-high 21 points for the Mustangs, who also received 10 rebounds from Amanda Lovely.

After a back-and-forth first quarter, back-to-back baskets by Karley Eaton and Doherty broke a 23-all tie to five UC Davis a lead it would not relinquish. It was part of a run that saw the Aggies score 11 of the final 14 points in the second period en route to a 34-26 halftime advantage.

UC Davis pushed the lead out to as many as 20 points with just under four minutes to play in the third and led by as many as 21 points in the game at 66-45 with 5:59 to play in the contest.

The Aggies finished the game shooting just under 44 percent from the field and 46 percent from beyond the arc -- including a 57 percent clip in the second half from long distance. Meanwhile, the defense limited Cal Poly to just 34 percent shooting from the floor for the game.

UC Davis returns home to host a pair at The Pavilion next weekend, welcoming Long Beach State on Jan. 28 at 7 p.m., and UC Santa Barbara on Jan. 30 at 3 p.m. -- the latter a doubleheader with the Aggies' men's team.
