DAVIS, Calif. -
By winning 10 of its last 11 games, including five straight, men's basketball provided voters all the reasons needed to push UC Davis up another two spots to No. 11 when CollegeInsider.com released its latest Mid-Major Top 25 Poll on Monday.

The ranking is a new all-time high for a team that continues to set a new program record each time the media outlet releases its weekly list of the top mid-major teams in the nation.

Due to the results that took place last week, UC Davis is also the only Big West team that is ranked, or receiving votes in this week's poll.

In addition to the Aggies victory over Cal State Fullerton last Thursday, both UC Irvine and Long Beach State dropped their respective games last Saturday to fall two wins behind the Aggies in the Big West standings.

Two key Big West Conference matchups await the No. 1 three-point shooting team in the nation (by nearly three-and-a-half percentage points) this week.

UC Davis will seek a season sweep over Long Beach State when the Aggies enter the Walter Pyramid Thursday night in a game that ESPN3 will broadcast from coast-to-coast. Two days later, the Aggies will have an opportunity to avenge its only league loss when Hawai'i visits the Pavilion. Both games will tip at 7 p.m.
