DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis was able to generate numerous looks, but the ball just did not fall throughout Tuesday night's non-conference game from the Pavilion as the Aggies dropped their final home game of the calendar year, to the Idaho Vandals, by a 68-51 score.

UC Davis will enter its brief holiday break with a 4-6 record before embarking on its final non-conference road trip of the season. Starting with Monday's matchup at Seattle, men's basketball will visit Boise State two days later before returning to the Pavilion for its final contest before Big West play commences.

Idaho will continue its season with an 8-5 record.

Darius Graham led all Aggies in scoring for the second straight game; after dropping 16 points on a career-high six field goals three days ago versus Air Force, the junior guard finished with 13 on 4 of 8 shooting both overall, and at the line vs. the Vandals.

For the sixth time this season, Neal Monson led all Aggies in rebounding by finishing with seven.

Led by Siler Schneider with nine points, and Nolan Berry with eight -- all earned at the free throw line in as many attempts -- the Aggies' bench doubled up the scoring output of the Vandals' reserves, 23-12.

In addition to Schneider and Berry, Garrison Goode and Michael Onyebalu were responsible for their team's final bench points by chipping in four and two respectively.

"(Schneider, Printup and Goode) have been working hard throughout the season and understand their role within the system. It's good to see them pick up some minutes and watch their confidence grow," said UC Davis head coach Jim Les.

Even though Idaho was responsible for the game's first seven points, the Aggies pulled within three shortly after the under-16 media timeout. Idaho responded by scoring seven of the next eight points, then pieced together another run by scoring eight straight to build a double-digit lead.

That cushion did not enter single digits the rest of the night.

UC Davis did a great job protecting the ball throughout the second half and only committed four miscues. However, that took place after an opening 20 minutes of action that saw the Aggies record 12 turnovers, which led to 18 points for the Vandals before halftime.

Idaho's Perrion Callandret led all players in scoring with 18 points, Arkadiy Mkrtychyan and Victor Sanders each chipped in 12.

"We just did not execute tonight. This is probably a good time for a break to do a little soul searching, and come back with a newfound commitment and energy," added Les.
