Oct. 6, 2015 WILMETTE, Ill. - Junior Paige Lee birdied the seventh and 15th holes to post a 1-under-par 71 to lead UC Davis in the final round of the Windy City Collegiate Classic at Westmoreland Country Club Tuesday afternoon. She moved up five spots into a tie for 19th place in the individual standings, closing the tournament with a 1-under-par 215.
As a team, the Aggies compiled a 9-under 297 in Tuesday's action to finish with a three-round total of 888, good for 12th place in the team race. Host Northwestern, Arizona and Georgia each ended at 12-under 852. Arizona fired a 7-under 281 to move up four places into the chop for first.
Lee had a clean sheet on the front nine with eight pars and the birdie seventh for her final round, finishing as the only UC Davis player under par. Senior Andrea Wong was second among the Aggies, t46th overall, with her 5-over 221. Freshman Daniela Anastasi finished in 69th at 13-over 229, while senior Betty Chen and freshman Sam Hutchison shared 70th with their 14-over 230s. Hutchison birdied the sixth and seventh to card a 2-over 74 on Tuesday.
Georgia's Bailey Tardy topped the individual leaderboard with her 12-under 204, five strokes ahead of Arizona's Jessica Vasilic and USC's Karen Chung.
UC Davis wraps up the fall portion of its 2015-16 slate at the Stanford Intercollegiate on October 18-20.
