Oct. 5, 2015 WILMETTE, Ill. - Junior Paige Lee fired a 2-under-par 70 in the second round to finish the day at even-par 144, leading UC Davis individually at the Windy City Collegiate Classic at Westmoreland Country Club Monday. The Aggies closed the day in 12th place at 15-over 591.
Georgia rallied to a 10-under 278 in Monday's second round to overtake host Northwestern for the team lead. Bulldog freshman Bailey Tardy and Wildcat freshman Hannah Kim share the lead for the individual championship at 7-under-par 137.
Lee opened the day with a 74 but birdied four holes on the back nine in the second round of 18 holes to finish the day in a tie for 24th place. Senior Andrea Wong shot 1-over 73 in each of her two Monday rounds to close out at T39th. Freshman Daniela Anastasi posted five birdies to a 1-under 71 in the morning, but struggled to a 78 in the afternoon round to move into T56th, 5-over 149. Senior Betty Chen rounded out the Aggie scoring with her 9-over-par 153 total, while freshman Sam Hutchison shot 78s in each round to finish at 12-over for the day.
UC Davis tees off from the 10th beginning at 7:30 a.m., paired with Tulane and Purdue. Hutchison (7:30) will be followed by Chen (7:39), Anastasi (7:48), Wong (7:57) and Lee (8:06).
