STANFORD, Calif. - Danielle Koehne scored her second goal in as many matches during Friday night's America East Conference match at No. 13 Stanford to trim her team's deficit, but the Aggies were unable to pull closer as the Cardinal collected a 5-1 win in UC Davis' final road match of the season.

UC Davis will enter next Friday's season finale with a 7-11 overall record and 0-5 league mark. Stanford is now 11-5 and 3-2 respectively.

Stanford scored the first of its goals in the 17th minute, but it was shortly before halftime where its lead quickly grew.

Up 1-0, the Cardinal scored two goals 59 seconds apart from one another to turn a narrow advantage into a three-goal cushion.

The score remained 3-0, in Stanford's favor, until the 57th minute; the Cardinal scored their fifth unanswered goal in the 63rd minute before Koehne struck in the 69th minutes and scored the Aggies' lone goal.

Koehne found the back of the cage on her only shot taken throughout the evening and was one of five Aggies who were collectively responsible for the team's six shots. Jamie Garcia finished with a team-high two attempts; Courtney Hessler, Agustina Singh and Kayla Wigney recorded UC Davis' remaining shots.

As was the case with her counterpart, Erica Cohen ended her evening with two saves.

UC Davis will return to Aggie Field Hockey Facility on Oct. 30 for its final regular season match versus Cal. Even though that match is slated for 3 p.m., fans are encouraged to arrive early to help the team honor its seven-member graduating class as part of a pregame Senior Day ceremony.
