DAVIS, Calif. - The #BigWestTour visited UC Davis on Thursday, Jan. 29, and witnessed firsthand how stingy UC Davis is on defense, and how accurate the Aggies are from both sides of the three-point line when men's basketball defeated UCSB to maintain its spot atop the conference standings.

Not only did that victory preserve UC Davis' undefeated home record, it also helped men's basketball set two new Division I, single-season school records for the most overall and home wins.

Before UC Davis stepped on Hamilton Court to face the Gauchos, Olivia Phelps visited practice last Wednesday and talked to the team's four seniors - Corey Hawkins, Avery Johnson, Tyler Les and Josh Ritchart - to find out how the Aggies became a legitimate contender for a league title after narrowly missing postseason play last year.
