Jan. 26, 2015 DAVIS, Calif. - Corey Hawkins - a candidate for the Lou Henson Award, presented annually to the top mid-major player in college basketball - is having an outstanding season and will return to the Pavilion this week for UC Davis' next two home games against UC Santa Barbara (Thu.) and Cal Poly (Sat., ESPNU) as the nation's No. 1 three-point shooter.
Including his NCAA-high .509 percentage from three, the senior guard also holds another six top-100 individual NCAA rankings.
Hawkins' 20.8 points per game scoring average is the best in the Big West Conference and the seventh-highest among all Division I players; he is also ranked No. 18 nationally with his 3.06 three-point field goals per game mark.
UC Davis' first-ever scoring champion also holds top-100 figures in: total three-point field goals made (No. 50/52), total points (No. 51/354), field goal percentage (No. 70/.509) and total field goals made (No. 90/113).

Returning home after completing its recent three-game road swing, UC Davis will enter the Pavilion with a 14-4 overall record and 4-1 lead mark. The Aggies' 14 wins matches the Division I school record set by head coach Jim Les' 2012-13 team.
The Aggies will host UC Santa Barbara on Thursday before ESPNU, and Cal Poly visits campus on Saturday. Both home games will tip at 7 p.m.
