BERKELEY, Calif. - Four Aggies recorded singles victories and another pair earned a doubles win in the second day of action from Berkeley, California, at the Cal Fall Invitational. 

Led by Layla Sanders, who advanced to the semifinal round of the Gold singles flight, four UC Davis players won their respective singles matchups Saturday morning and afternoon.

Sanders will face Kareena Mangi at 11 a.m. Sunday morning; the victor will advance to the Gold's main draw championship match slated for 2 p.m.

A rare all-Aggie tournament matchup took place in the consolation quarterfinal round of the White singles flight, one that saw Jessie Lee down Claire Meunier in straight sets. 

As the day progressed Kecki captured a victory alongside doubles partner Frederique Sleiffer when the two defeated Nevada's Clarisse Treand and Monika Magusiak. Turning in a clutch performance throughout a first-set tiebreak helped Kecki and Sleiffer take an early lead; after droppping the second set, the pair blanked their opponents in a third-set tiebreak to collect a 7-6 (3), 1-6, 1-0 (0) win.

Round robin singles play included wins from Kecki and Lani-Rae Green; the former won a third-set tiebreaker en route to her 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (6) victory against Nevada's Sara Korzeniecki, the latter downed Fresno State's Tanya Murtagh in straight sets by 6-2, 6-3 scores. 

After a difficult day of doubles action during the first day of competition, UC Davis captured its first win when Lee and Samantha Martino defeated Wolf Pack counterparts Elissa Pavalea and Sara Korzeniecki by matching 6-2 set scores.
