DAVIS, Calif. - By leading UC Davis men's basketball to its first 6-0 start in 102 years, two radio shows will feature head coach Jim Les on their respective shows on Monday afternoon.

For the first time since returning to Sacramento's airwaves last July, Whitey Gleason and Mark Kreidler - also known as "The Rise Guys" - will welcome Les to their ESPN 1320 AM radio show. Sports fans can listen to "The Rise Guys" every weekday from 2-6 p.m. and hear their interview with Les at 3:45 p.m.

As is the case with "The Rise Guys," KHTK 1140 AM sports talk show host and Sacramento Kings television play-by-play mainstay Grant Napear will speak with coach, starting at 4:05 p.m., about UC Davis men's basketball's blistering start and his experiences as a player in the NBA - focusing on his tenure with the Sacramento Kings from 1990-94.

Napear will also highlight Les' appearance at a pregame ceremony slated to take place before Thursday's Houston Rockets at Sacramento Kings contest.
