Dec. 15, 2014 DAVIS, Calif. - For the third straight season, ESPN will televise a UC Davis men's basketball game from the Pavilion when the network selected the Aggies' Jan. 10, league matchup vs. Long Beach State Monday morning. ESPNU's broadcast will begin at 8 p.m.
"We are excited that ESPN will return to the Pavilion and showcase UC Davis on a national stage," said head coach Jim Les. "This is a phenomenal opportunity to represent the Big West Conference and show the country what makes this university and program special.
UC Davis' inaugural appearance on national television also took place inside the Pavilion, against Long Beach State, when ESPN2 visited campus during the 2012-13 season.
Due to the energy and enthusiasm of that night's sellout crowd, ESPN returned to campus last season to televise men's basketball's home finale against UC Santa Barbara.
Fans can purchase tickets online by clicking here, in person at the UC Davis ticket office located at Aggie Stadium, or by phone at (530) 752-AGS1.
By winning its first six games, the Aggies opened their season with a 6-0 mark for the first time in 102 years. Men's basketball will enter its upcoming four-game road swing with a 7-1 record and an opportunity to post the best 10-game start in school history.
UC Davis' upcoming trip will start on Dec. 20 at Air Force, continue on Dec. 22 at Northern Colorado, then resume after the holiday break with games at Washington State and Seattle on Dec. 28 and 30 respectively.
The Aggies will return to Hamilton Court and open a three-game homestand with their final non-conference game of the regular season on Jan. 3. After facing Cal Maritime, UC Davis will battle CSUN in its inaugural Big West game of the season on Jan. 7 before ending the season-long homestand with ESPN's nationally televised broadcast.
