DAVIS, Calif. - As of Dec. 12, UC Davis men's basketball created an official Twitter account - @UCDavisMBB - for fans to follow.
In addition to scores, news, notes, and highlights fans will now have an opportunity to interact and communicate with coaches and student-athletes of their favorite men's basketball team. By providing photos, video and information year-round, fans can catch a glimpse of events and moments that take place off the court.
Twitter is a free service that is growing in popularity, that allows individuals to communicate with friends, family members, colleagues, public figures, and, in this case, athletics teams in 140 character messages called "tweets." You can send, or receive, tweets online at your Twitter account or on your cell phone.
If you already have a Twitter account, take a few seconds to follow @UCDavisMBB now. If you are new to this medium of communication, join and receive updates by following the instructions below.
Join Twitter
- Visit twitter.com
- At the "New to Twitter" sign up box, enter your full name, e-mail, create a password and click "Sign up for Twitter"
- Continue with the registration process until you have your own official Twitter account (see, that was easy!)
- To receive updated on your mobile device or tablet download the Twitter app, login, add your phone to your Twitter account (login ---> settings ---> devices)
