DAVIS, Calif. - Bidding for the inaugural Online Aggie Auction fundraiser for UC Davis Athletics will commence on Friday morning at 9 a.m. and continue through the morning of Friday, May 6. The Aggie Auction, now in its 14th year, provides financial program support for all 23 UC Davis varsity sports and more than 650 student-athletes.

The online fundraiser continues the tradition of the Aggie Auction, which ran as a black-tie-optional gala at three different area venues since its inception in 1997. More recently, the brick-and-mortar event was supplemented by a post-Auction, which provided an opportunity for fans to purchase excess and late-arriving items via their internet browsers. This year, the Aggie Auction will entirely in an online format, allowing the fundraiser to expand its reach and engage a larger base of alumni and friends.

As before, the Aggie Auction features more than 900 items, mostly organized in the categories of travel, wine, sports and recreation, dining, and golf. The prize list also includes team donations, the proceeds of which will support specific sport programs. Finally, the Aggie Express section consists of items available for immediate purchase.
