Final Stats
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The No. 60 UC Davis women's tennis team had its 10-match win streak snapped on Saturday, dropping a 6-0 match to No. 46 Sacramento State at the Sparetime Indoor Tennis Center in Gold River.
The Aggies (11-3) were originally scheduled to play the Hornets (9-7) in a home match at the Marya Welch Tennis Center but had to move the match indoors to Sacramento State's home courts.
The two squads did not compete in doubles play, as the Hornets won the first four singles matches in straight sets en route to the 6-0 win. Maria Meliuk's 6-2, 6-1 win over Ellie Edles at the No. 3 position proved to be the clinching match.
Dahra Zamudio and Lauren Curry each won the opening set in their respective matches but Sacramento State rallied to win both to secure the sweep.
UC Davis will be back in action tomorrow morning, playing a home match against Montana at 10 a.m.
