STANFORD, Calif. - Megan Heneghan advanced to the round of 32 after a bye and win for the UC Davis women's tennis Friday at the ITA Northwest Regional Championship at the Taube Tennis Center.

Dahra Zamudio and Nicole Koehly also posted wins in the opening rounds, while the Aggies added a pair of doubles wins. Zamudio downed Cal's Elizabeth Ecker in the round of 128, 6-3, 6-0. Koehly took a 6-2, 6-2 win over Emily Prescott of San Jose State.

Kelly Chui and Heneghan outlasted Santa Clara's team of Arga/Le in the opening round of doubles play with a 9-7 win. Lauren Curry and Ellie Edles also took an 8-1 win over the pair of Newell/O'Haren for Santa Clara.

The ITA Regionals continue play through the weekend until Tuesday, with two rounds of singles and a round of doubles held on Saturday.
