LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Gold Rush Women's Golf Tournament, the first scheduled tournament of the spring for UC Davis and scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, has been cancelled due to inclement weather this weekend in Southern California.

The tournament was to be hosted by Long Beach State and held at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach. However, heavy rains on Saturday led to poor conditions and forced cancellation of the event.

UC Davis will return to competition on Saturday and Sunday at Stanford.
