Complete Ron Moore Intercollegiate Results in PDF Format 
LITTLETON, Colo. - The Aggies' Alice Kim earned her third career second-place finish on Wednesday while the UC Davis women's golf team overtook Baylor for runner-up honors at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Denver at Highlands Ranch Golf Club.
Junior Chelsea Stelzmiller earned her 13th career top-10, finishing at 10-over, and helping lead an Aggie squad which placed all five players in the top 20. Senior Kimberly Johnson tied for 12th at 13-over, freshmen Belen Hernandez tied for 15th at 14-over, and freshman Amy Simanton tied for 18th at 15-over.
UC Davis entered the final round one shot behind Baylor as the teams battled for second place behind host Denver which posted a 14-stroke win at 15-over 879. Buoyed by a 1-under 71 from Kim and strong rounds of 73 from both Johnson and Simanton, the Aggies had a team score of 294, tying Denver which also had a 294 on Wednesday, for the second-best score of the tournament. The Aggies improved their score for the second consecutive round.
Baylor slipped to 300, ending the three-day tournament five shots behind UC Davis at 34-over.
Kim paced UC Davis on Wednesday, capitalizing on two birdies on her front nine to make the turn two shots below par. She had a birdie and two bogeys on the back to card her second round below par of the tournament, ending at even-216. Her 71 was best among all players for the second of the three rounds.
Johnson had three birdies - including two on the front nine - along with three bogeys as she posted her best score of the 54-hole event by five strokes. finishing high in the standings. Simanton's 73 was punctuated by three birdies including back-to-back ones on the par-4 10th and the par-4 11th.
Stelzmiller was one over at the turn and had two birdies on the back during her round of 77, earning a top-10 finish in the 73-player field. Hernandez played both the front nine and back nine four shots over par and finishing with an 80.
Denver's Stephanie Sherlock posted a one-shot win over Kim, finishing at 1-under 215. Iowa State was fourth in the team standings at 47-over while Illinois rounded out the top five at 48-over.
UC Davis returns to action on Oct. 26-28 when it participates in the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown hosted by UNLV.
