Complete Second-Round Results in PDF Format

LITTLETON, Colo. - Alice Kim is tied for third, Chelsea Stelzmiller is tied for fifth and Belen Hernandez is tied for ninth as the UC Davis women's golf team remained in third on Tuesday after two rounds of the Ron Moore Intercollegiate being hosted by the University of Denver.

UC Davis matched Baylor with an 11-over 299 team score on Tuesday, staying one shot behind the second-place Bears in the standings. The teams are chasing host Denver which fired a tournament-best 287 for a 13-shot advantage. Denver is at 9-over 585, Baylor is second at 22-over and the Aggies are third at 23-over. Illinois is fourth in the 13-team tournament at 32-over.

Kim, the first-day leader after shooting a 1-under 71 on Monday at Highlands Ranch Golf Club, is at 1-over 145 for the event while Stelzmiller is at 5-over 149. Hernandez is ninth at 6-over, Kimberly Johnson is tied for 25th at 12-over and Amy Simanton is tied for 32nd at 14-over.

Hernandez had the Aggies' best round of the day, shooting par. She opened with a pair of bogeys but fought back and got to 1-under after 13 holes thanks to three birdies. Bogeys gave two shots back before she finished with a birdie on the par-5, 500-yard 18th to card her 72.

Kim was at 1-under after 10 holes but bogeyed four of the next seven holes before also tallying a birdie on No. 18 for her 74. Stelzmiller, meanwhile, remained in the top five after playing the front nine three over but getting a birdie on the par-4 16th to help her finish with a 76.

Simanton had a birdie on the par-3 4th hole on her way to a 77 while Johnson posted 13 pars during her round of 78.

Kim is just two shots off the pace being set by Hannah Burke of Baylor and Stephanie Sherlock of Denver who are each at 1-under. Sherlock set the standard on Tuesday with a 3-under 69.

Teams will play the final round on Wednesday with UC Davis set to tee off at 7:30 a.m. (Pacific).
