DAVIS, Calif. - The UC Davis women's field hockey team took part in the first of two preseason scrimmages, Saturday, when it faced Pacific at Aggie Stadium. The visiting Tigers scored a pair of goals early in he first half on their way to a 3-0 victory.

The teams played two regulation-length halves of 35 minutes each and also built in a pre-scheduled break midway through each half. Following the conclusion of the second half, the scrimmage continued with a 10-minute overtime session as well as one round of a penalty strokeoff.

UC Davis will play at Stanford on Tuesday in its final tune-up for the regular season. The Aggies' home opener is Aug. 31 against Missouri State at 11:30 a.m. at Aggie Stadium.
