DAVIS, Calif. - It was announced Monday by UC Davis head men's soccer coach Dwayne Shaffer that Brady Marshall has signed a grant-in-aid agreement during the spring signing period and will enroll at UC Davis this fall. Marshall graduated Beyer High School in 2005 and has spent the last three years serving his church mission.
"Brady was one of our recruits coming out of high school," said Shaffer. "We really liked his athleticism, speed and work rate. We are looking forward to him bringing those characteristics to our team and competing in the attack."
Marshall was a three-sport star at BHS, excelling in track and field, football and soccer. He played only two years of high school soccer and earned first-team All-Modesto Metro Conference honors and team MVP each year. During his senior year, Marshall led the conference with 25 goals and added four assists for 54 points. Marshall played club soccer with Pleasanton Ballistics United and helped lead his team to championships in Nomads, Dallas Cup and Surf Cup.
Marshall also qualified for the Sac-Joaquin Section in the 400 relay in 2003 and intercepted six passes as a freshman for the football team.
The Aggie men's soccer team has now signed 10 student-athletes for the upcoming 2009 season.
