Big West Tournament Ticket and Other Information in PDF Format 
DAVIS, Calif. - Both the UC Davis men's and women's basketball teams are heading toward the Big West Basketball Tournament and Aggie fans can be part of the excitement with tickets and special accomodations to the championship event in Anaheim in March now available.
The four-day event, which begins with opening-round games on Wednesday, March 11, will be held for the ninth consecutive season at the Anaheim Convention Center, directly across the street from the Disneyland Resort and Downtown Disney District. The tournament continues through the championship games on Saturday, March 12.
Additionally, the Anabella Hotel in Anaheim has been designated the official hotel for Aggie fans and is offering special rates. The hotel is within walking distance to the tournament site and Downtown Disney. It can be reached at (714) 905-1050. Aggie fans need to ask for the UC Davis rate.
Big West Tournament all-session passes for $70, as well as first-game vouchers - good for a team's first game in the tournament - are currently on sale through the UC Davis Ticket Office. Single-session tickets, ranging from $20-$35 depending on the round, will go on sale Feb. 24.
The tournament, which awards automatic berths to the NCAA Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments to the winners, includes several activities surrounding the week. The 7th annual Mascot Mayhem will be held on March 12 at the nearby ESPN Zone, pitting mascots from each school in a variety of games and obstacles. The 6th annual Battle of the Bands is scheduled for March 13 at the Downtown Disney.
Both UC Davis basketball teams continue to compete for spots in the eight-team event as they battle during the second half of the Big West season. The Aggie women advanced to the Big West Tournament Championship in just their first appearance in 2008. The UC Davis men are currently tied for fourth in the Big West standings as both Aggie squads enter key games this weekend against UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton.
