UC Davis To Host Humboldt State In Exhibition Thursday

DAVIS, Calif. - The UC Davis women's basketball team will begin to make its final preparations for the 2009-10 regular season when the Aggies host former Northern California Athletic Conference rival Humboldt State in an exhibition game on Thursday night at The Pavilion.

There is no admission charge for the matchup which will begin at 7 p.m.

UC Davis returns all but one player from last year's team and is picked to finish second by the media in the upcoming Big West Conference season. Junior post Paige Mintun, a first-team all-league selection last year, returns to the team along with Haylee Donaghe, a second-team pick in 2007-08. Also among the returners are Big West Freshman of the Year Lauren Juric and All-Freshman team member Kasey Riecks.

The Aggies will open the season on Nov. 13 when they travel to face Seattle University. They'll visit Washington State on Nov. 15 before beginning a three-game homestand against San Francisco on Nov. 17. Among the early season matchups is a Nov. 22 home date with preseason No. 2 Stanford.
