UC Davis never trailed against the Dons, opening a 10-2 lead just five minutes into the game when guard Hana Asano converted a layup. San Francisco got to within a bucket at 14-12 but a 13-3 run over a 7-minute span made it 27-15 with three minutes before half. The Aggies led 31-21 at halftime.

French made her only three-pointer of the first half and then scored nine of the Aggies' 12 points over a three-minute span in the second that turned a 37-29 lead into a 49-31 advantage. UC Davis didn't let the lead get below 15 points the rest of the way while opening it to as much as 24.

"Cortney was ready each time she got the ball and she had her shooting stroke tonight," said Simpson. "I was really pleased with us being able to adjust to USF's defensive game plan and taking the open perimeter shot when available. But tonight was a night when everybody contributed."

The Aggies shot 48% from the field for the game, including 5 of 11 from three-point, while also shooting well from the line (16 of 19). They also benefitted from 24 Dons turnovers, 16 which came from steals. Asano and Haylee Donaghe each had four.
