Ciao! Today we left Montreux, Switzerland, and made our way to the final stop of our European Tour: Nice, France. To say the least, it was a very long bus ride. Initially we had hoped to stop for a nice Italian lunch in Torino, but we ran into a little road bump at the Italian boarder, where an Italian official randomly selected Dominic Calegari, Todd Lowenthal, and Coach Lamanna, pulled them and their bags off the bus, and conducted a thorough inspection which lasted for more than half an hour. Because of this, we had to scratch out our lunch plans in Torino and make due with a quick bite at a rest stop on the highway.
During the six-and-a-half-hour (or so) bus ride, the guys entertained themselves by playing cards in the back of the bus, watching episodes of "Lost" and "24" on their laptops, and of course, napping. By the time we caught a glimpse of the Mediterranean Sea on our way into the French city of Nice, we realized the long drive was definitely worth it, and everyone couldn't wait to get off the bus and to explore the last beautiful city we would get to see in Europe.
