Our first full day in Switzerland is for sure one of the best days of the trip yet. Waking up around 10 a.m. for breakfast, we set off at 11 for the Chateau de Chillon. This historical castle was built just off the beautiful shore of Lake Geneva early in the 12th century. Split up into many different sections, such as the prison, storehouse and courtyards; much of the area was kept fully intact, the dining room held original furniture from the 14th century. While the tour only lasted an hour we returned to our hotel to rest prior to the game.
Arriving at the gym after a couple wrong turns in the small towns of Switzerland we entered a gym such as the one as your local YMCA's. Squaring off with a local team in the top division of Switzerland this was no easy task. The first half was neck to neck. After halftime, the Swiss began to pick up their play as we struggled to make shots but things soon changed.
At one point in the forth quarter down fifteen we picked up the ball pressure and did not look back in an exhilarating win we came home with a "W", but more importantly, brought bright lights of the things to come this season.
