NCAA Championships Live Scoring and Video
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The second round of the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships is finally in the books after weather delays resulted in the suspension of play on Wednesday as well as another delay Thursday morning. As a result, UC Davis is tied for 21st after completing a round of 319. The Aggies began the second round late Wednesday afternoon before finishing Thursday morning.
The second round was scheduled to take place Wednesday, but play was suspended for over two hours early in the afternoon due to high winds. Play resumed for less than two hours before the conditions returned and forced the round's suspension for the remainder of the day. The Aggies' five-player contingent had not made it past the fifth hole before the final suspension.
The second round continued Thursday morning and was finally completed at around 11:30 a.m. MDT. There was actually another delay for about 20 minutes due to wind and lightning, but all 24 teams were able to finally complete the round.
Alice Kim turned in the low round for UC Davis with a 74. Bryana Gregory shot a 79 while Chelsea Stelzmiller and Sydney Roughton each had an 83. Kim is tied for 15th overall.
The Aggies are tied with Texas with a 36-hole total of 617 and are one stroke behind Arizona. Just six strokes separate a group of seven teams, including UC Davis. UNLV holds 16th place with a two-day total of 611, followed by Virginia, Tulsa and LSU.
USC and UCLA are tied for the lead at 584. All 24 teams shot above par for the second round and just four team shot better than 10-over.
