Final Stats

STOCKTON, Calif. - Pacific defeated UC Davis, 95-50, Thursday night in a Big West Conference men's basketball game at the Spanos Center. Chad Troyer led all scorers with 27 points and went 8-for-11 from beyond the arc. UC Davis was led by Vince Oliver and David Carter as each finished with 13 points. Shane Hanson returned to action and scored seven.

Pacific (19-9, 9-5 Big West) shot 67 percent from the field in the first half on its way to a 40-26 halftime lead. Troyer scored 12 points on four three-pointers in the first half, and the Tigers connected seven times from beyond the arc to help build the 14-point halftime lead. Carter and Oliver accounted for 20 of the Aggies' 25 points in the half. Carter made a trio of three-pointers in the half and had 11 points by the break. Oliver poured in nine.

In the early moments of the second half, an Oliver three-point play made it 42-29. That was as close as UC Davis (8-20, 2-12 Big West) would get as Pacific held the Aggies without a field goal over the next seven minutes. During that span, the Tigers outscored the Aggies, 19-2, and led 61-31 at the 12:17 mark.

A Kyle Brucculeri three-pointer stopped the run but preceded a 23-7 blitz that gave Pacific an 84-41 advantage with five minutes remaining.

Pacific shot 67 percent in both halves and held UC Davis to 37 percent for the game. The Tigers made 13 three-pointers and outrebounded the Aggies, 36-16.

Oliver entered the game needing 16 points to reach 1,000 for his career. He now needs just three points to become the 15th player in UC Davis history to reach the milestone.

UC Davis is next in action Saturday when it hosts Sacramento State in a non-conference game at The Pavilion. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
