BEAUMONT, Calif. - Junior Jee Park shot a 3-over 75 on Monday and is tied for fourth while Lauren Dobashi is tied for ninth after a 78, leading five UC Davis players among the top 14 places after the first round of the Lady Braveheart Classic, hosted by UC Riverside at the 6,089-yard Oak Valley Golf Club.

Six UC Davis players are playing as individuals in the tournament, gaining experience after seeing limited action in the fall. The Aggies will make their team debut later this month at the Fresno State Kitahara Invitational. All six players are among the top 26 places in the 17-team, 101-player field.

Park led the Aggies on Monday, shooting a 36 over the front nine and a 39 on the back to finish at 75, tying for fourth with Natalie Todd of Cal State San Marcos and Stephanie Yocum of Cal Poly. Dobashi is at 6 over after a pair of 39's and is tied with four other competitors.

Three UC Davis players are among seven players tied for 14th place at 8-over. Kelsey Fischer, Eryn Williams and Katie Sisler are the Aggies in that group with Williams' 38 on the back nine the best nine-hole score of the trio. Jessica Yam is tied for 26th at 10 over.

Kaitlin Troop of the University of British Columbia and Adriana Niclotti of Cal Baptist are tied for first after shooting 72. Cal Poly has a 10-shot lead over Portland after a 313 team score.

The Lady Braveheart Classic concludes on Tuesday.
