DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis head coach Gary Stewart won his 200th career game on Jan. 15 when the Aggies defeated Cal State Fullerton, 85-74, in Fullerton.
Stewart's 16-year career began with his alma mater La Verne where he guided the Leopards to 116 wins during his tenure. He then moved on to Cal State Hayard (now Cal State East Bay) where his teams won 26 times. From there, Stewart brought his 142 career victories to UC Davis where he continues to add to his total.
Stewart has the unique distinction of having coached at all three levels of the NCAA. He posted his 50th and 100th victories while leading La Verne before gathering his 150th and 200th wins at UC Davis. His 58 victories along the Aggie sideline places Stewart fifth in UC Davis history.
