MORAGA, Calif. - The UC Davis women's tennis team closed out play at the Saint Mary's Invitational Sunday in Moraga. Senior Jenna Kappel played in the Aggies' lone match of the day and was defeated in the blue singles consolation final. The action concluded the three-day tournament for the Aggies.

Kappel won twice on Saturday to advance to Sunday morning's final. She squared off against Santa Clara's Kimi Cox, who prevailed 6-1, 6-0.

The event was the second fall tournament for UC Davis and featured a combined 14 singles and doubles victories for the squad. The Aggies conclude fall play next weekend in Stanford at the ITA Northwest Championships.
