LAS CRUCES, N.M. - UC Davis junior Bryana Gregory shot a 3-over-par 75 to remain in sole possession of second place after two rounds of the Price's Give `Em Five Invitational women's collegiate golf tournament at the New Mexico State Golf Course Tuesday. As a team, the Aggies shot a 308 total in round two to move into a three-way tie for sixth place in the tournament.
North Carolina State moved into the team lead with a 299 total on Tuesday. The Wolfpack is 26-over-par for a total of 602 strokes, one ahead of Idaho and Michigan. Kansas is in fourth place at 604, with Oklahoma one behind at 605. UC Davis shares sixth place with Baylor and Missouri.
Baylor's Lene Hafsten-Morch took over the individual lead with a second straight par 72, giving her a one-stroke on the Aggies' Gregory. Idaho's Kelly Nakashima, Michigan's Ashley Bauer and Kansas' Emily Powers are tied for third at 2-over-par 146.
UC Davis freshman Chelsea Stelzmiller moved into the individual top 10 by firing a 2-over 74 in Tuesday's round. She now sits among a four-way tie for eighth place. Alice Kim, another Aggie freshman, improved six strokes to a 76 on Tuesday, jumping her to a tie for 54th with teammate Syndey Roughton.
Eryn Williams rounds out the Aggie lineup for the tournament. She shot an 85 to bring her two-round total to 166, T-81st in the tournament.
The Price's Give `Em Five Invitational concludes Wednesday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. MDT.
