Aggies Downed By Dons

DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis was defeated by San Francisco, 6-1, in women's tennis action, Saturday, at the Marya Welch Tennis Center. The Aggies, in the midst of a stretch of three matches in three days, lost the doubles point before the Dons took five of six singles matches. Robin Guier claimed the lone win in singles while Nancy Mok and Ally Muller posted a win in doubles.

San Francisco stayed undefeated on the season, improving to 4-0. The Dons won two out of three in doubles with wins coming at no. 2 and no. 3. At no.1, Mok and Muller defeated Macedo and Pamart, 8-6.

In singles, USF posted four straight sets victories among its five wins. At no. 2, Guier defeated Jenny Sperry, 6-2, 6-3.

"It was a competitive match," said UC Davis head coach Bill Maze. "We've gotten better in doubles and need to keep plugging away. We now have to focus our attention on Sunday's match-up with Nevada which will be a challenge for us."

UC Davis (1-4) takes on the Wolf Pack Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the Marya Welch Tennis Center.
