2004 Final Record
: 6-4
National Ranking: Received votes in The Sports Network preseason Top 25
Notes: UC Davis continues preparations for the Sept. 3 season opener against No.7 New Hampshire... The Aggies face 3 other preseason ranked teams (#4 E. Washington, #17 Cal Poly, #22 North Dakota St.) this season, along with Div. I-A Stanford... Ags will host Blue-Gold scrimmage on Friday night as final tuneups begin for opener.

VOLLEYBALL

Notes: Aggies end 14-day preseason with home match with San Jose State and road contest at California... Golden Bears are ranked 19th in preseason... Senior OPP Jill McPheeters and junior OHs Nicole Read and Rachel Keener are team captains... Big West Conference sent six teams to 2004 NCAA Tournament.

MEN'S SOCCER
2004 Final Record
: 6-10-2
Notes: UC Davis kicks off the year with three straight matchups with Pac-10 teams... Aggies travel to Cal for scrimmage Saturday, open at home with Oregon State on Sept. 1, then host Stanford on Sept. 4... Big West Conference features two NCAA Tournament participants, including College Cup runner-up UC Santa Barbara.

WOMEN'S SOCCER
2004 Final Record: 8-9-1
Notes: UC Davis returns 9 of its 11 regular starters and 22 of its 23 goals from last year, including leading scorer Lindsey Raymond (10 goals, 4 assists in 2004)... Soccer Buzz magazine ranked Aggies No. 1 of 8 teams playing their first D-I schedules last season... Aggies played scrimmages with Saint Mary's, Stanford in preseason.

· Season-opening dates for upcoming fall teams: Friday - W. Soccer vs. San Jose State, 4 pm; W. Volleyball vs. San Jose State, 7 pm; Sept. 1 - M. Soccer vs. Oregon State, 5 pm; Sept. 3 - Football vs. New Hampshire, 7 pm; Sept. 3&4 - M. Water Polo at UC San Diego Triton Invitational; Sept. 10 - M&W Cross Country hosts Aggie Open (Wildhorse GC), 9 am; Sept. 13 & 14 - W. Golf at Oregon State Invitational.

· Women's golf begins its first season as a varsity program at UC Davis when it opens up competition on Sept. 13-14 at the Oregon State Invitational... The Aggies are coached by Kathy DeYoung, who led the UC Davis softball team to nearly 800 wins in 26 seasons and the 2003 NCAA Division II Championship.

· Season tickets for the 2005 football season are available by calling the UC Davis Ticket Office at (530) 752-1915.

· Staff changes: Tracy Cumming named NCAA Compliance Coordinator; Doug Hess named Assistant Athletic Trainer; Bill Stevens resigns as Athletics Media Relations Asst. Director to become Assistant Sports Information Director at Washington State... A search for Stevens' replacement is currently underway... Lisa Skvarla, a 2005 graduate of UC Santa Barbara, has been named Media Relations Assistant.
