UC Davis Announces Baseball, Softball Broadcast Schedule

DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis will provide internet broadcasts of 36 Aggie baseball and softball games during the upcoming seasons through its official athletics website, www.UCDavisAggies.com, it was announced on Monday.

A total 19 baseball games - including a pair of road matchups at rival Sacramento State - are scheduled to be broadcast while 17 softball matchups will also be available. All broacasts are free of charge and only require a free QuickTime player which most computers already have.

The baseball schedule begins on Tuesday with the season opener against Sonoma State and will also include Friday's home game against the University of San Francisco. Both games begin at 2 p.m. Other games on the broadcast slate include Apr. 1 and 3 matchups at Sacramento State, Apr. 22 and 24 contests against defending NCAA champion Cal State Fullerton, and games on May 2 against current No.6 Stanford and May 24 versus Cal.

Seven doubleheaders are included in the 15-game softball schedule with the next broadcast scheduled for Wednesday from Sacramento State beginning at 1 p.m. It continues on Saturday with a noon twinbill against visiting Santa Clara. Oher matchups include a Mar. 3 showdown with Sacramento State at LaRue Field, a Mar. 15 doubleheader against visiting Princeton, a three-game set on Apr. 30 and May 1 versus Cal State Fullerton and a May 5 twinbill againt current No.16 Oregon State.

UC Davis' softball openers against San Jose State on Feb. 1 kicked off the broadcast schedule, bringing the number of broadcasts to 19.

All games are archived shortly after for later listening. The schedule is tentative and may be changed due to postponements and cancellations. Similarly, other games may be added throughout the season.
