ABOUT THE UC DAVIS BEACH VOLLEYBALL COURTS
UC Davis announced the addition of two new women's varsity programs in April of 2018 — beach volleyball and equestrian — then broke ground on the former's home facility that fall. The new courts opened for their first practices on February 11, 2019; and the Aggies hosted their first home match less than three weeks later when they swept local rival Sacramento State in a March 2 doubleheader, 4-1 and 3-2.
Carved out of the Howard Intramural Field on Howard Way and Russell Boulevard, the new beach facility sits in an ideal setting: adjacent to the North Entry Parking Structure – whose ziggurat-styled southern landscaping now doubles as amphitheater-style seating – and facing one of the city's main thoroughfares.
Those interested in using the courts themselves can find availabilty through the UC Davis Recreation Center
