DAVIS, Calif. -- Winners of six of its last seven games, UC Davis softball returns to the road to take on Cal and host Fresno State at the Bulldog Classic on Saturday and Sunday. Each day consists of a doubleheader, with the Golden Bears as the first opponent and the Bulldogs as the nightcap.

• UC Davis swept the three Big West Conference weekly awards, with Isabella Leon (Field Player), Kenedi Brown (Pitcher) and Anna Dethlefson (Freshman) claiming the honors.
• With OF Megan Bower (three doubles, triple, homer) and Leon (four doubles, homer) leading the power surge, the Aggies slugged .503 in the six Capital Classic games last week.
• Leon's performance marked the return to action for one of UC Davis' two fifth-year seniors (along with OF Marissa Jauregui) who opted to return for 2021... She was injured during the preseason and did not make her season debut until Thursday's action at Sac State... Leon is now .435/.500/.739 in 26 plate appearances.
• Like the Aggies, Fresno State also swept conference player of the week honors: Hailey Dolcini won her second Pitcher of the Week nod while infielder Vanessa Hernandez snared the Player of the Week award.
• Cal comes off a 7-5, 1-0 sweep of Big West Conference member UC Santa Barbara at Stanford's DeMarini Invite.
